A full menu of massage and bodywork delivered in a private candlelit suite, by therapists who have spent their working lives learning to listen with their hands.
A flowing, full-body massage using long gliding strokes, gentle kneading and warm aromatic oils. Swedish massage is the gentlest and most familiar of the European traditions, and a good place to start for guests who are new to bodywork or simply looking to switch off completely.
We slow the rhythm down from the version you might recognise from busy spas — there is no rushing from one limb to the next. A 60-minute Swedish session at The Hideaway typically covers back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs and feet. A 90-minute session adds the face, scalp, and a longer close.

Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, using slower, firmer pressure and sustained strokes. It is the right choice for guests with chronic tightness in the upper back, neck, shoulders or hips — desk workers, drivers, parents who carry small children, athletes recovering from training.
The pressure is always negotiated with you in the moment. Deep does not mean rough; the goal is release, never bruising. Most guests find it more comfortable than they expect, and feel the benefits two or three days afterwards as well as immediately.

Smoothed basalt stones are warmed in clean water and used both as tools and as quiet sources of heat across the back, shoulders, legs and palms. The heat allows the muscles to soften far faster than they would under hands alone, and the experience is deeply grounding — particularly in autumn and winter.
A 90-minute hot stone session at The Hideaway includes a full body massage with oil, integrated stone work, a warm stone placement on the back during a quiet rest interval, and a closing scalp pressure point sequence.
From £140 · 90 minutes.
Before the session begins, we take five quiet minutes to choose your oil blend together. We carry pure essential oils sourced from established UK suppliers: lavender for sleep, neroli for grief and anxiety, rosemary for clarity, frankincense for stillness, sweet orange for low days.
The pressure is light and intuitive. Aromatherapy is the right massage for guests who are looking for emotional release as much as physical release.

Our pregnancy massage is delivered side-lying, with bolsters and pillows arranged to fully support the bump, lower back and hips. The session is gentle and focused on the areas most likely to be holding strain — the lower back, hips, shoulders and feet.
Available from the start of the second trimester (week 13) onwards, subject to your midwife's agreement. We do not work over the abdomen.
From £95 · 60 minutes.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session so we can settle you in without rushing.
Allergies, recent injuries, medications, pregnancy — all useful. Your therapist will ask, but the more you share, the better the session.
Massage moves fluid through the body. We provide herbal tea and water, and recommend drinking plenty in the hours afterwards.
